CELEBRATE RECOVERY
FRIDAYS @ 7:00 PM Parkview’s Orland Park Campus
The purpose of Parkview’s Celebrate Recovery is to become free from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups through an in-depth step study program and God’s healing power in our lives. This occurs through study, action and commitment to Jesus Christ as we understand the eight recovery principles (based on the Beatitudes in Matthew) and the 12 steps with their Biblical comparisons. As we apply these principles to our lives, we begin to grow spiritually and become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. During Celebrate Recovery, we enjoy praise and worship, followed by a lesson or testimony from one of our members. The fellowship and trust that develops between attendees is a miracle of God’s Grace.
If you have questions about Celebrate Recovery, please contact us in confidence at CR@parkviewchurch.com or call 708.478.7477, Ext. 240.
DIVORCE CARE
GRIEF SHARE
If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, it may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. You‘ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
That’s the reason for GriefShare, a group led by those who understand what you are experiencing, and offer support for people grieving the loss of someone close.
Because we believe that true healing from a hurt as deep as the death of a loved one must be built on a relationship with Jesus, Grief Share helps point you toward Christ as the only lasting source of healing.
GriefShare is offered several times per year at Parkview's Orland Park Campus.
If you would like to be contacted when our next GriefShare session is scheduled, please fill out our CARE NET INFORMATION REQUEST FORM.
HOSPITAL VISITATION
The Parkview Visitation Ministry Team is a group of people who, along with you and your family members, help lift the spirits of those who are in the hospital or shut-in. They also bring much comfort to family members, reminding them that they are not alone. Knowing that the Parkview family is genuinely praying is a blessing to patients, family members, and those visiting, as well. What we do is simply visit with those who are shut-in. We talk, pray, and provide caring that is good for the soul. If you have loved ones who would enjoy a visit from a member of the Parkview Visitation Ministry, of if you would like to be involved in this ministry, please contact Pastor Brian Hunt at 815-838-9080, Ext. 101 or fill out our CARE NET INFORMATION REQUEST FORM.
SINGLE PARENTS
Each year during the holidays, Parkview helps organizations like Restoration Ministries in Harvey and MorningStar Mission in Joliet provide a merry Christmas for children in need.
This year, we would also like to help single parents in our own Parkview family who are having a difficult time making ends meet.
If you would like your brothers and sisters in Christ to help with Christmas gifts for your children, contact Rich Beil in confidence at 708-478-7477, Ext. 208 or by filling out our CARE NET INFORMATION REQUEST FORM.
FUNERALS
The Funeral Ministry handles all preparation and hospitality details related to Parkview wakes and funerals.
If you would like to arrange to have a funeral at Parkview, please contact Pastor Brian Hunt at 815-838-9080, Ext. 101.
In addition, if you feel led to lend your compassion and gift of hospitality in this important ministry, please fill out our CARE NET INFORMATION REQUEST FORM.
WEDDINGS
A God-honoring marriage goes well beyond the wedding day, and we want to equip you for lifetime success!
If you are interested in getting married by one of our pastors, and/or would like to get married at Parkview Christian Church, please fill out our CARE NET INFORMATION REQUEST FORM.
BABY DEDICATIONS
In Biblical times, dedicating children to the Lord was a common practice of blessing among God’s people. It was also a way in which parents acknowledged their commitment to raising their children according to the Word of God. At Parkview, we dedicate children with the same heartfelt intentions today.
If you are interested in learning more about Baby Dedications at Parkview, please contact Campus Pastor Brian Hunt at 815-838-9080, Ext. 101 or fill out our CARE NET INFORMATION REQUEST FORM.
