Wedding FAQ’s

Your First Step…

Couples who desire to be married at Parkview Christian Church, or by one of our pastors, will have an initial consultation with a member of our pastoral staff.  Some topics to be discussed during this session may include prior marriages, current living arrangements, spiritual maturity, and wedding-day logistics.  

Are we required to attend pre-marital counseling?    

Yes.  Couples can participate in the pre-marital class offered by Parkview or prove they have completed a comparable alternative elsewhere. Parkview also provides pre-marital coaching.

What dates and times are available to schedule weddings at Parkview?

Once we are certain the date you requested is available, we have the following time guidelines:

Friday Weddings start at 4:00 pm or 4:30 pm.  The party must leave the facility by 6:00 pm.

Saturday Weddings

• Worship Center: start at 10:30 am.  The earliest you can arrive at church is 8:30 am and your party must leave the facility by noon.
• Chapel: start at 1:00 pm and again at 3:30 pm (chapel will be available in 2014.)

What if the church is not available on the date and/or time I prefer? 

Our pastors are willing to officiate wedding ceremonies off site.  There are other venues you may consider – other local churches, your reception hall, etc.   

Is the church available for wedding receptions, parties, or showers?

Due to the many activities at Parkview, we cannot offer our building for outside events. 

Is Pastor Tim available to officiate my wedding?

Pastor Tim’s preaching schedule does not allow him to officiate at weddings.  We have several other experienced pastors on staff available to make your ceremony special. 

What are the fees?

Building Fee (Worship Center)	$300 member/$400 non-member
Building Fee (Chapel)	$250 member/$300 non-member
Pastor Honorarium	$275 on-site wedding
Pastor Honorarium	$350 off-site wedding
Wedding Hostess/Pastor Asst.	$100 (on-site weddings only)
Pre-Marital Class	$85
