WHY THE GREAT INVESTMENT? How can we look at the way God loves us, and all the blessings we have received, without being overcome with gratitude and the overwhelming desire to share with others? There are so many people around us who don’t know about His love, and we can make an eternal impact in their lives through this vision.WHEN WILL WE GET STARTED? There are some parts of The Great Investment that we will start immediately, such as revamping the Student Ministries area, expanding parking, and getting ready to launch the Lockport Campus. For other parts of the vision, we will be prayerfully dedicated to seeking God’s direction, and will make decisions based on the first fruits offering, congregation pledges, and the best opportunities to work with minimal disruption to ongoing ministries.JUST WHAT EXACTLY ARE FIRST FRUITS? The first fruits offering is the part of your commitment that you are able to give up front as a cash gift or asset, enabling us to get started on the initial work as soon as possible. We will collect the first fruits offering from March 15 to April 6.WILL MY CONTRIBUTION BE MADE PUBLIC? Absolutely not! Only the total of all commitments received and the amount collected during the first fruits offering will be announced and published.HOW MUCH MONEY DO WE WANT TO RAISE? As you read in the Your Part section, it will take more than $19 million dollars to make this vision a reality. While taking on some debt is not out of the question, we are trusting God and the people of Parkview to raise the necessary funds to get this done. If it becomes necessary to take on debt, we will do so very prudently.CAN WE REALLY DO THIS? No...in fact, apart from Christ we can do nothing. But can God accomplish all of this through us? Absolutely! And not only does He want to achieve this vision through us, God wants to do even more than we have imagined! |
