Kidz Connection...

In our Kindergarten through 5th grade classes, we look forward to connecting your child to God through worship, Bible teaching, and small group discussions. Your child’s time in class is divided into four distinct experiences:

ACTIVITY STATIONS

Activity Stations begin 30 minutes before the service hour. This is a time of simple games and activities to welcome children into Kidz Connection and focus on building relationships through play. This is our “family time” where we laugh and get to know one another better.

WORSHIP

Our class starts off with praise and worship to God. Children experience God through worship songs that are appropriate for their age levels. As a part of worship, children are given an opportunity to give an offering to God that is used to support monthly local mission projects that help children in need.

LARGE GROUP

Children are divided into the age level groups (K-2nd and 3rd-5th) for Bible learning. The Bible story or truth is presented in creative ways to help children connect with God through His Word.

SMALL GROUP

During this time, a small group leader meets together with a group of 12 students. This is a key time for children to begin to process and apply the Bible truth they’ve just learned to everyday life. Additionally, small group leaders are intentional about fostering relationships within the small group to give a “community” feel during their time together.

Your child’s small group leader plays a very important role in your child’s spiritual development. Small Group Leaders serve at the same service hour each week. In order to build continuity and a relational connection between your child, their leader and their peers, we strongly recommend attending the same service time each week.

ELEMENTARY PROMOTIONS

K ~ 5th grade children attend the class that coordinates with their grade level at school. As each new school year begins, children are promoted to the next grade level on the first weekend in September. Children who have completed 5th grade are promoted to Jr. High Ministry on the last weekend in June.
