This year's Promise Keepers event is scheduled for August 8th & 9th in Peoria! The Men's Ministry needs your help to make this a well coordinated event. Therefore, please find time to complete the following NEW steps to aid in proper conference ticket purchase, lodging reservations, as well as carpool assignments.
2008 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
The identity of men and the concept of manhood itself are under assault. Who and what defines a man? What gives him purpose and meaning? Philosopher Thomas Carlyle summed it up when he said, "Show me the man you honor, and I will know what kind of man you are, for it shows me what your ideal of manhood is and what kind of man you long to be." Promise Keepers believes that there is a timeless, immovable standard, independent of history and cultural changes — in the person, the man, Jesus Christ.
The Manhood '08 program is aimed at equipping men to get a handle on their life and mission, amidst a shifting culture that is sometimes outright hostile. Promise Keepers intends to deliver the message that a real man loves God more than anything else and is willing to progressively receive his help in becoming more like Jesus in how he thinks, lives, and relates to others this side of heaven. So, how are you doing in your daily walk? Are you responding in the Spirit or in the flesh?
STEP ONE: ORDER A CONFERENCE TICKET
Each man is responsible for ordering his own ticket.
You can order tickets online by visiting the PROMISE KEEPERS WEBSITE, or by calling (866) 776-6473. Please note: There will be an administrative fee of $2.50 added to all telephone orders.
(NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS): Scholarship tickets will be allocated on a reimbursement basis. The attendee will need to purchase his own ticket for the conference and will be reimbursed by the Men's Ministry following the event.
STEP TWO: RESERVE YOUR HOTEL ROOM
We have 30 rooms on hold at approximately $95 per room, regardless of one or two occupants.

You can go to HOLIDAY INN - PEORIA CIVIC CENTER or call 309-674-2500 and register under the "Parkview Christian Church Block Room Request."
Like the scholarship reimbursement policy for the event, lodging scholarships will be rebated follwing the event. There will be no fronting the tickets or room costs.
There will also be a minor change on Saturday evening. We will have an evening time of reflection and fellowship, but dinner will not be served.
Transportation details are still being worked out and will be posted upon finalization.
