If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, it may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. You‘ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That’s the reason for GriefShare, a new group that will be hosted at Parkview by those who understand what you are experiencing, and will offer support for people grieving the loss of someone close.
We want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. True healing from a hurt as deep as the death of a loved one must be built on a relationship with Jesus Christ, and GriefShare helps point you toward Christ as the only lasting source of healing.
Each GriefShare session will include a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos include real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. There will also be small group discussions, interactions with others who have experienced a recent loss, and opportunities to share your own experiences.
Session topics include:
- When Your Dreams Fall Apart
- Seasons of Grief
- Emotions of Grief (Part 1)
- Emotions of Grief (Part 2)
- When Your Spouse Dies
- Your Family and Grief
|
- Where Is God? Your Greatest Resource
- Stuck in Grief or Moving On
- Growing Through Grief
- Grief Recovery Tool Kit
- God’s Spiritual Hospital
- Longing For Heaven

The $12 cost for GriefShare materials can be paid at your first session. If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to contact Pastor Lonnie Caha at 708-478-7477, Ext. 203.
A new GriefShare session will begin May 5, 2008.
