Parkview's Worship Ministry exists for one purpose - to lead others into God's presence so they can worship Him. This ministry, led by Worship Department Director Denise Harlow, allows those with artistic gifts to serve God in the areas of music, drama, dance, video and technical areas. This devoted group of servants is committed to excellence by continuously growing in their walk with Jesus and their knowledge of up-to-date methods of ministry. Our goal is to bring God's message of love and truth to life in a relevant way every weekend. The Worship Committee is the brainstorming team that starts this process.
The Worship Committee meets monthly to discuss ways of adding creative elements to upcoming sermon series. Whether the element is a comical "infomercial" or a serious drama, an uplifting dance put to music or an edgy video, our emphasis is on reaching people's hearts with the truth of the Gospel. We want you to leave our services saying, "I can't wait to see what they do next week!" Most of all, we want to glorify God - the Author of creativity itself.
We have a contemporary Worship Band here at Parkview, which includes electric, bass, and acoustic guitars, drums & other percussion instruments, keyboard, and various wind and brass instruments. The band is led by Worship Band Director John Bretzlaff. Our vocal team consists of men and women of various ages, high school and older. Their mix of experience and vocal styles enhances our worship time and encourages the congregation to make a joyful noise! Kim Bretzlaff is our Worship Vocal Director.
Our Creative Elements Team currently consists of a drama and dance ministry and various other artists. This is a growing team of gifted and dedicated servants led by worship staff member Debbie Burk.
All of our teams are vital in making every service a worshipful experience, BUT, not one of them could minister without the help of our Technical Team! This "behind the scenes" group of talented, devoted individuals make each service at Parkview come to life, and are led by Worship Staff Technical Director Mark Dines. Barry Tegel, our Video Production Director, assists Mark as well. By using multimedia, lights, sound, & video cameras, our "techies" make it possible for everyone to see and hear and experience God at Parkview.
