Trip Description

This team will drive 3 hours to Oblong, Illinois, to work alongside our mission partners at Oblong Christian Children's Home. The team will be participating in projects that include light construction, organization, cleaning, yard work and painting. This can be an amazing opportunity for a family to serve together. (Ages 6 and up) Trip cost is $50. Trip cost does not include: travel expenses (contribution towards driver’s gas), and 2 fast-food meals (driving down & back up)

Parkview has spent many years developing a very important partnership with Oblong Christian Children’s Home in Oblong, IL.

The ministry of Oblong Children’s Christian Home is to provide Christian group home care and programs for at-risk and troubled youth.

Trip Requirements

  • 6 years old or older (Minors must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Complete a volunteer background check and trip paperwork
  • Attend all pre-trip team meetings.
  • Attend a Global 101 class. View Global 101 Class Dates>

Team Meetings

Global Teams Training Day: Sat, Feb 7th, 8:00am-2:00pm.

2-3 more meetings will be scheduled with your team leader.

Cost

Cost for trip is $50. Trip cost is due upon registration. All trip deposits are non-refundable.
