Trip Description

This team will be flying to Cancun, Mexico and driving to the center of the old city of Cancun. This team will be repairing the roof of the church building of Iglesia de Cristo Vida Nueva and facilitating a VBS program for area kids alongside local church leaders. This trip will end with a fun day at a local resort on the beach. This trip is open to adults and families. (Minors must be accompanied by a parent).

About the Ministry

Vida Nueva Ministries – Mexico

Vida Nueva’s mission is “Breaking The Cycle of Poverty and Disadvantage Through Christ”. This ministry has planted 6 churches in Mexico: 2 in Piedras Negras, Tepic, Acapulco, Cancun, and Puebla.  Over the years Vida Nueva has developed a large Christian school for preschool – high school students in Piedras Negras. All programs serve to connect people with Christ so that He can bring them hope and freedom from the vicious cycle of poverty and spiritual emptiness from which many suffer.

Trip Requirements

  • Adults & Families (Minors must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Complete a volunteer background check and trip paperwork
  • Have a passport that is valid 6 months after return date of trip.
  • Attend all pre-trip team meetings.
  • Attend a Global 101 class. View Global 101 Class Dates>

Team Meetings

Global Teams Training Day: Sat, Feb 7th, 8:00am-2:00pm.

1-2 more meetings will be scheduled with your team leader.

Cost

$200 – Initial Deposit

$800 – Needed by December 20, 2025

$2000 – Needed by February 01, 2026

Trip Cost Includes: airfare, overnight accommodations, meals, transportation during the trip, medical travel insurance and project costs.

The cost of this Global Trip is subject to change due to flight & fuel costs.

All trip deposits are non-refundable.  Once airline tickets are purchased for the team, all trip costs are non-refundable.  

Trip Accommodations

The team will be staying in double-occupancy, air-conditioned hotel rooms.  Food will include Mexican meals prepared by the Cancun church community, meals at local resturants and breakfasts at the hotel.
