Trip Description

This team will be flying to San Antonio, Texas and driving over the border to Piedras Negras, Mexico to serve alongside Vida Nueva Ministries. This team will be assisting in facility upgrades at the school and camp, as well as building relationships with kids and families from the community. This trip will end with a fun overnight in San Antonio, TX. This trip is open to adults and families, including anyone who is 10 or older at the time of the trip (minors must be accompanied by a parent).

About the Ministry

Vida Nueva Ministries – Mexico

Vida Nueva’s mission is “Breaking The Cycle of Poverty and Disadvantage Through Christ”. This ministry has planted 6 churches in Mexico: 2 in Piedras Negras, Tepic, Acapulco, Cancun, and Puebla.  Over the years Vida Nueva has developed a large Christian school for preschool – high school students in Piedras Negras. All programs serve to connect people with Christ so that He can bring them hope and freedom from the vicious cycle of poverty and spiritual emptiness from which many suffer.

Trip Requirements

  • 10 years old or older (Minors must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Complete a volunteer background check and trip paperwork
  • Have a passport that is valid 6 months after return date of trip.
  • Attend all pre-trip team meetings.
  • Attend a Global 101 class. View Global 101 Class Dates>

Team Meetings

Global Teams Training Day: Sat, Feb 7th, 8:00am-2:00pm.

2-3 more meetings will be scheduled with your team leader.

Cost

$165 – Initial Deposit

$750 – Needed by December 1, 2026

$1650 – Needed by April 1, 2026

Trip Cost Includes: airfare, overnight accommodations, meals, transportation during the trip, medical travel insurance and project costs.

The cost of this Global Trip is subject to change due to flight & fuel costs.

All trip deposits are non-refundable.  Once airline tickets are purchased for the team, all trip costs are non-refundable.  

Trip Accommodations

The team will be staying in comfortable, air-conditioned dorm rooms with bunk beds.  Meals will include Mexican dinners prepared by women from the local churches and breakfasts and lunches prepared by the team.”
